Isaac James Baker has worked as a freelance writer, editor, newspaper reporter, communications specialist and other word-related positions. He studied journalism at Long Island University-Brooklyn and received his master’s degree in fiction writing from Johns Hopkins University. His fiction, poetry and essays have appeared in a slew of places. Isaac blogs about "Reading, Writing & Wine" and writes about taste and place for Terroirist, an award-winning daily wine blog. His first novel, Broken Bones, based on his month-long stay in a psychiatric ward, is available now via Amazon Kindle and Nook, and print. When he’s not writing or tasting wine, Isaac can be found chasing cold surf around the east and west coasts. Born and raised in Belmar, New Jersey, he lives in Washington, DC.
